Monument to the Fallen in Wars

The "Monument to the Fallen in Wars" in Sofia's Gorna Banya district is a historical military memorial dedicated to local residents who died in the Balkan Wars, the Inter-Allied War, and World War I.

The "Monument to the Fallen in Wars" is located in the Gorna Banya district of Sofia, near the old mineral bath on Kamenitsa Street. The monument is built as a pyramidal obelisk and is among the significant military monuments in the area. The monument pays tribute to the soldiers from the former village of Gorna Banya who died during the Balkan War (1912–1913), the Inter-Allied War (1913), and World War I (1915–1918). The names of the fallen, as well as information about the place and date of their death, are inscribed on the sides of the obelisk. Today, the monument remains a place of reverence and historical memory, reminding us of the contribution and sacrifice of the people of Gorna Banya who participated in the military events of the early 20th century.
