The St. Nicholas the Miracle-Maker Russian Church, located at Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. No. 3, 1000 Sofia, is one of the most beautiful and recognizable Orthodox churches in the capital. Also known as the Russian Church, it is situated right in the heart of Sofia and impresses with its characteristic Russian architecture, richly decorated facades, and gleaming golden domes. The temple was built in the early 20th century for the needs of the Russian community in Sofia and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra, the Miracle-Worker. Its architecture is inspired by the traditions of Russian Orthodox churches, and the interior houses beautiful icons, murals, and religious works of art. The Russian Church is an important spiritual and cultural landmark, attracting both believers and visitors interested in Sofia's history and architecture. In the crypt beneath the temple lies the tomb of Saint Seraphim of Sofia the Miracle-Worker, who is venerated by many Orthodox Christians.
